ABOUT US
For two years, the Peddicord and Nelson families used weekends, holidays and vacations to construct this vacation home at Black Butte Ranch. Since that time, they have enjoyed the property with family and friends.

In 2019, the Peddicord family sold their share to the daughter and son-in-law of the Nelsons. Today Dave & Linda Nelson and Kerry & Kim Goff are pleased to continue offering the home to friends and family as a place to gather and explore the wonders of Central Oregon.
In May of 2021, we began posting on VRBO to attract more guests during the off season. This site will remain the place where you and anyone you refer can come to book your time. We are not offering the July and August prime time on VRBO. We will continue to open up that time each Fall for those of you who have been making this your vacation home with us over the years. We appreciate you!

Booking Process & Contact
We hope you like the website! It is one of the biggest changes. Our hope is to make it easy for you to see what time is available and book anytime day or night. Kim is the main contact for all booking, invoice/payment, key access, and questions. Southmeadow88@gmail.com is our new email address or call Kim at 503.320.4674. The contact form on the website will also reach our email box.

Payments Options
When you book, you can choose to pay on-line by credit card. If you prefer to pay by check or Venmo, please select pay later. We will email details for mailing the check or for our Venmo account. Your time will be confirmed once the check is received.

Emailing Invoices
Watch for emails from southmeadow88@gmail.com. As time gets closer to your stay, if you paid a deposit amount vs. the full amount, we will email you with an invoice for any remaining balance. About a week before your stay, we will email with the usual instruction sheet and a key access code.

Keys & Access
We have changed the door lock to one made for vacation rentals. Instead of mailing keys out, we will email you an access code that will work for the duration of your stay. It should be slick! Anyone in your group just needs to know the access code. No more coordinating keys if you've got a large group or having to mail them back.

From Twin Beds to Queen
The downstairs room that had twin beds has been switched to a queen bed. Our hope is that this configuration works well for you. For our extended family it better accommodates the adults. If you've got young ones looking for twins; hopefully the bunks, loft, or queen will do.

Loft TV & Toys
We've replaced the old TV in the loft. Now we will have a second area able to have new gaming technology or access cable and video streaming options. We are also replacing the old toys (that date back to when I was a kid playing with them!) Look for a handful of new family games and toys for the younger kids.

Recent Projects
In 2020 we did siding and stain, deck repairs, and entry pavers. As we went into the summer of 2021 we had the heat pump replaced. The new heat pump is noticeably more quiet and now we don't have to worry about A/C going out while you enjoy the hot summer days!

In March of 2022 we replaced the carpet and did work on the deck. In Fall of 2023 we finished deck updates.
​
We will continue to maintain and look for ways to make the house more enjoyable for your stay.
